Notes: Anna Florence Hackathorn – daughter of Shorty and Sylvia Hackathorn – age 20, died of injuries from an accident on Route 43 near Amsterdam on February 27, 1955. The driver and 3 others survived their injuries. The accident occurred when the car went off a curve and rolled down an embankment. Witnesses said the car was demolished. She was a native of Bergholz. She graduated from Bergholz High School and was employed as a clerk in Bergholz State Bank. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Sunday School. In addition to her parents, Miss Hackathorn is survived by seven brothers, Michael of Charlton Heights, WV, Ben of Huntington, WV, Lee of Angleton, TX, James of Portland, OR, David, Leslie and Dennis of the home; and four sisters, Joan of the home, Mrs. Michael Beecher of Kilgore, Mrs. Charles Gervason and Mrs. Harold Kemmer, both of Bergholz. Burial at Bergholz Cemetery.
